Starata Kashta is located in the picturesque village of Ivanovo. The village has an exceptional location: 2km away from Ticha reservoir, 20km away from the town of Veliki Preslav, 18km away from the Patleina Natural and Archaeological Reserve and 18km away from Varbishki Mineral Baths. Near the village archaeological excavations of a prehistoric settlement mound are being carried out, where unique wooden structures have been found, there are unique in the Balkans.

We offer an opportunity for quiet relaxation, which can be combined with hunting and fishing, as well as with eco and cultural tourism.

Ticha reservoir is the 7th largest in Bulgaria and from the websites about fishing, we find out that various species of fish could be caught: roach, zander, carassius, european chub, perch, sun fish, catfish, bleak, carp, common rudd.

The National Historical and Archaeological Reserve and Museum "Veliki Preslav" hardly needs any introduction. It includes restored and preserved parts of the excavations of the medieval town and a museum, which houses some of the objects found.

Besides protected rare plants, the Patleina Natural and Archaeological Reserve keeps the ruins of the Patleina monastery of "St Panteleimon" where SS Cyril and Methodius’s disciples - St Clement of Ohrid and St Naum of Preslav /St Naum of Ohrid/ lived and wrote.
